Internship while studying

What will you learn?
With an internship at FMJ you not only learn all about the materials science side of things and the tools of the trade, you also learn to connect theory with practice. We teach you to see connections and apply knowledge so that later, when working in the field, you can effectively pinpoint a fault, for example. We also involve you in all aspects of the job, so that you get a good idea of the trade you will be practicing.

How do we guide you?
We adapt our guidance and the assignment we give you to your level and skills. Our aim is to have you working independently, for example by determining and drawing out where signals from a junction box should go. So, in most cases you will draw, make or test something on your own.

Based on your internship assignment, we make agreements about your tasks and responsibilities. Usually this is a combination of shadowing a project team/member and carrying out a specific assignment. You will of course be assigned a permanent internship supervisor.
